Pray for DVDs and Video Tools


"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit..." (Matthew 28:19, NASB).


More Languages, More Effectively! 
  • Praise that January meetings between The Seed Company and The JESUS Film Project led to even greater synergy in their ongoing partnership. One outcome was new ideas for increasing the number of new translations recorded each year.
  • Pray for wisdom and creativity, not only in conceptualizing the new translation processes, but also how best to implement them in the months and years ahead.
  • Pray for God's leading in responding to requests from partners and field staff for new translations of  the "JESUS" film for language groups of less than 50,000 speakers. Pray for wisdom and discernment in knowing effective ways to accomplish this goal.
  • Pray for the travel, health and safety of our translation recording teams who are in the field each month recording native speakers in very remote corners of the globe. Also, pray that the teams' recording equipment functions well. This helps to ensure that the script is recorded in a timely, accurate and cost-effective way.
  • Pray for the "Walking With Jesus" Africa premiere trip in early February to Kenya. This will be a time of celebration for Campus Crusade for Christ and numerous partnering ministries, as they roll out this new tool of five short films to increase the effectiveness of following up new believers. It was written and produced in a culturally relevant way. Pray for the trip, safety for the guests as they travel, and for the use of this new tool to help ground new believers in their faith and ensure lasting results.
In addition, please include the following in your prayers:
  • Pray for a strong response to the February appeal letters seeking DVDs and other video tools of "JESUS," along with compact MP4 players and video tablets needed for outreach in restricted access nations. Pray that many who read the letters will be prompted by the Holy Spirit to give and to help take the gospel to unreached people.
  • Pray for the efforts which began in January to enroll new monthly supporters for the ministry in 2012. Prayalso that the Holy Spirit will touch the hearts of those who are already partners, to help underwrite the needs of film teams and the overall ministry.
  • Pray for the February allocation meetings (February 28-March 2). This is the forum where the ministry assigns the funds raised over the past four months to projects worldwide. Those funds are then distributed to the field. Pray that the funds can be applied to the most strategic projects, as the global needs far exceed available resources.
  • Pray for preparations for the briefing in Asheville, North Carolina, April 12-15. Pray that the attendees can be ministered to spiritually and their relationships with staff and other partners will be enriched.Pray too that those attending will gain a greater biblical perspective of stewardship and an increased vision for seeing the world reached for Christ. Pray also that God will lead those friends and partners to attend that He has prepared for greater involvement.
  • Pray for the launch of a self-service group giving website which will allow people to invite their friends and family to participate in funding various projects. Pray that this new platform will enable scores, even hundreds of friends, new and old, to raise funds for strategic projects including new translations, film teams, projection equipment and follow-up literature.

Scared to Death of Death: Facing More Than Gramma’s Mortality

When my family moved my grandma cross-country to a nearby nursing home, I had no idea she would bring with her a reminder of irrevocable loss. Karen Swallow Prior And Gramma makes three. Almost. Over a year ago, my mother and father moved across the country to  live  with my husband and me. My grandmother, my mother’s mother, was supposed to come with them. But Gramma fell and broke her hip just before the move. She has not recovered enough to continue being cared for at home, as she had been before the fall.
