The Almighty God has appropriated to himself and declared his name to be Jehovah, which signifies the "Self-Existing One" or "The Immortal One." Thus we read his declaration to Moses, saying: "I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac and unto Jacob by the name of God Almighty [the superior or most mighty God], but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them." (Exod. 6:3) By this name, Jehovah, God was thereafter recognized amongst his people. The name is used hundreds of times throughout the Old Testament, but is covered, in a large degree, from the English reader, through an error of the translators, who have rendered it "LORD." ‘NC, UML have no alternative than joining govt’

BIRATNAGAR, JAN 28 -   Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachhadar remarked that the opposition parties—Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML— would be brought on board to form national consensus government soon.  “They have no alternative than to join the present government,” he said speaking to media persons at the Biratnagar Airport on Saturday. “I am sure that they would not hide in the jungle,” he added.  Gachhadar claimed that Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM), an alliance of five Madhes based political parties, had played an important role in the peace process by bringing the major three political parties, UCPN (Maoist), NC and UML, who were sharply divided on the issues of peace process, to consensus.  He clarified that the controversial decision to legalise the land transactions made by the Maoist’s parallel government during the decade-long conflict would not be implemented.  Gachhadhar, also the Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Foru...
