christinity and nepal 2

The Church in Nepal is said to be one of the fasted growing Church in the world with an estimated number of 800,000 today. One factor which contributed to the rapid growth of Christianity in Nepal is through healing by prayer. Caste system in Hinduism and the Hindu domination experienced by indigenous and ethnic communities for centuries has attracted many people to Christianity.   The Church started growing rapidly, specially, after the political change of 1990. Though Christianity made some positive contributions in the Nepalese society such as breaking down the barriers of caste system, reducing the economic burden on the people and    the health and education services provided by mission agencies; liberating the people of Nepal from the endless cycle of rituals and superstitions and giving them new hope,   the Church in Nepal had the following    short comings: ·         Emphasis only on evangelization and indifference to socio- political,   economical and other issues faced by th

Christianity and Nepal With the political change in 1951 Nepal opened its doors to the outside world and Christianity entered into Nepal . International Christian mission organizations started coming to Nepal. They were not allowed by the government to engage themselves in religious activities but were asked to    help in the development process of the country.   Though the witness and contribution of individual missionaries and the prayer of Christians worldwide definitely contributed to the promotion of Christianity in Nepal , outside missions were not able to play a   direct role in the growth of the Church and Christianity in Nepal . As there were no opportunities for higher education in Nepal, many young people went abroad for higher education. While abroad, some of them came into contact with Christianity and embraced Christianity.   They came back to Nepal, shared their faith with their family members and others and established Churches. Another way in which Nepalese came in

testimony

my name is khagendra subba, the only son of my parents. i am from prakashpur-1, sunari. my parents follow sattehangma a part of hinduism.  there is one secret place in our home for worship. and people are not allowed to go in. as usual i use to pray and worship there every monday according to my parents. but the more i practise the religion more i got problems, bad nightmares and suffocating and encountering the ghost at night. my parents did call the witchcraft to pray for me. however it didn't work. later on i went to work overseas.  we were many friends in malaysia  and

nepal

nepal is a landmark country lies in between india and china. initially it was king ruling nation. after the democracy the king was thrown out and it became the rpublic of nepal. though the history is long but nepal is still a third world country. most of the people here are based on their farming. and few are trders and mini business. but we r grateful for it natural beaty and reasources. mt everest is the most highest peak of the world it makes nepal reknown in the world. but because of the social unbalaces the people are getting more problems.

churches

the holy home where the christians come together for worship is called church. specially people gather for worship and devotion on the sabath day. is called sundays. and saturday in nepal . there are so many churches in nepal nowadays. God has really a special plan for this nation. many missionary and organizations are trying to reach out the remote places for the gospel. and most of the places already got churches. we can see about 500 churches in kathmandu valley itself. however in the percetange christians are still the lowest. it is only about 0.5% in the whole population.

christians

one who repents from his sin and received Christ as his personal savior and God is called christian. Bible says everyone on this world is sinner. rom 3:23. we are sinners from the womb of our mother because of the first man adam's rebelion act. furthermore we all are following our own traditions and cultures. and worshiping the idols which is so called sin in the Holy Bible. however God the creator of  heaven and the earth so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son to save us from our sins. Jn3:16. whoever belive in Jesus will get enternal life. our sins can be washed out with the precious blood of Christ Jesus. not only that Jesus ensured the eternity by ressurection from the dead. this is how our life is secured in Jesus. if we die surely we will go heaven where Jesus is. there are so may christians in nepal thesedays and still growing. eventhough the nation is full of idols God has a special plan for this nation.

christianity

some missionary from europe countries had visited nepal some 200 years ago in the history. christianigy in nepal has begun since a long time. however, because of the hinduism ruling system of nation it could not go ahead. in those days people use to follow christianity secretly. later on after the democracy the nation was announced as a secular country. then the christianity has got advanced. Christianity itself is no like a religion and religious activities. but according to the worldly vision peopl call it a religion. but this is more than a religion, a higher education towards the people for the living and social activities. it describes the existence to human being, the root and the final destination after the death. Bible is the real history of the world where we can find the real meaning of life. the reason of being on this earth. christianity teaches love and disciplined life to be honest being connected with the creator the Lord almighty through the prayer.
